Dr. Daniel Sim

Daniel Sim is a faculty member with a primary appointment in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences in the College of Veterinary Medicine and a joint appointment in the Department of Animal Science in UT AgResearch. Before this position, Dr. Sim was a senior research biomedical engineer and team lead at the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory and AV, Inc. on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, working on portable/wearable sensors for warfighter health and performance monitoring. Dr. Sim is an expert in the design, fabrication, and characterization of sensors and actuators using nano/micro technologies. His work focuses on establishing a precision animal health research program using biosensor and device systems capable of addressing disease, injury, performance, and physical/mental health status, as well as other related conditions.
