The University of Tennessee Department of Animal Science Scholarship and Awards Banquet was held on Tuesday, April 23rd, in the Brehm Animal Science Arena. Students, faculty and staff were joined by parents and members of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture administration to celebrate and look back on the 2023-2024 academic year. The clubs and judging teams within Animal Science were able to honor their members with various awards and announcements of this past year’s success as well. Students were recognized for their academic success and involvement with the announcement of scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year. The Animal Science Scholarship Committee was able to award approximately 134 undergraduate and graduate students with scholarships and awards totaling close to $240,000! Thank you to our committee members, as well as other faculty and staff in the department for nominating these students and giving them well deserved recognition for their efforts both in and out of the classroom!
